Aajonus asked someone to post for him the following comment:

Posted on January 23, 2001:

> Dear Aajonus,

> I am Janet, Murray's wife, using his e-mail to let you know that Murray died this week.

> Sincerely,

> Janet Walden

Murray was a sweet individual but someone who had had major heart bypass surgery and nearly 50 rounds of chelation therapy. I was happy that he lived the last two years; he said that because of the diet he lived in very little fear of heart attack and death, and was happier and felt stronger and healthier. He wished that Janet, his wife, could have discarded her fear, too. He told me that she was afraid of disease from raw meat but trusted his choice with the diet. At her insistence, he continued to take prescriptions drugs. I don't know if he had not taken the drugs if he would have lived longer. His tissues were very thin and metal-toxic from the chelation therapy. In so many people who have had chelation, most do not absorb and utilize the sun properly. I continue to conclude that chelation therapy is the most risky and dangerous alternative therapy that exists today.

I will miss Murray.

lovingly, aajonus

I, Karl Loren, then sent Aajonus this private message on January 23, 2001:

Dear Aajonus,

 Re your post:

Are you referring here to IV chelation, Oral Chelation, or both?

Any details?

karl

Karl Comment:

Aajonus appears to be saying that "chelation therapy" causes the tissues to receive (?) or hold (?)  toxic metals -- exactly the opposite result my experience shows from oral chelation -- and I presume also from IV Chelation.  When you are following the guidance of someone, as I have been following Aajonus, on diet, and that guide then says something that drastically conflicts with your own knowledge on something, it raises difficult questions of how to regard any of that guide's data.  This statement from Aajonus puts me into doubt about his data and my data -- a conflict that I will need to resolve, and expect to.  I will record my continued considerations and findings on this page.

I had just this sort of another conflict on the subject of "detoxification" and have explained the resolution of that, click here.

Hi, Karl,

Both.  Sometime I will show you what changes occur in the iris after chelation

healthfully, aajonus

Karl Comment:

Aajonus is apparently basing his data on iridology with which I am generally familiar.  More to say on this below.

Dear Aajonus,

There was a time, perhaps 30 years ago, when I attended every lecture I could by Dr. Bernard Jensen (?).  I doubt if he is still alive?  I think he would be considered the "father of iridology."  I purchased his "big" book -- probably the biggest then available-published book of iridology pictures and diagnoses at that time.
With that frail amount of knowledge I was soon "lecturing" favorably about iridology.
Later I had a "real" iridologist who had the camera and all the equipment, and much more training than I, and I sponsored a series of perhaps 5 two-hour lectures by him, in my home.   The lectures covered about a 7 week period.
Everyone who came got a iris photo at the beginning, and at the end, and expected to find improvements in the two pictures, based on his lectures on diet mostly.
If the term is "useful," you could say that I was a "believer" in iridology.  I have never abandoned it as a valid practice (I can't quite call it a science), but I never, either, pursued it more intensively.
I accept iridology probably in the same way that I accept applied Kinesiology -- I have taught and demonstrated that also, and in my cancer clinic years, clinic-director Jimmy Keller was (for sure) curing cancer using Kinesiology as his primary diagnostic technique -- even having me do it sometimes when he was busy.
So, I am not unfamiliar with these concepts, nor am I a skeptic.
I don't happen to know what iris change would be associated with toxic metals, and I don't recall whether there was such a picture in that old book, but I can easily accept that certain rings, or "items" in the iris are associated with toxic metals -- and that when the ring (or item) appears shortly after beginning chelation, that the conclusion might be that the chelation is causing something that shows up as this ring in the iris.
So, no problem there.
Not that I abandoned iridology, but I did not pursue it -- and, rather, I have charted my own course on the subject of heart disease and chelation -- looking mostly to very traditional research resources to satisfy me.
You have read my explanation of "detoxification with cysteine" to know my position on this -- it would seem to be extremely well supported by traditional science.
In other words, for instance, if you do a standard urine test for metals before starting chelation (either IV or OC) and there is whatever there is -- metal in the urine -- and then start the chelation, and within a day or so do another of the same urine tests, as I understand it, you get a large increase in the amount of metal in the urine.  These studies are common.

Aajonus:
However, the chelation itself may cause metal toxicity. No tests have been performed that prove anything about the processes.  I know that in all of the people who have taken chelation therapy and most people who have taken colloidal  minerals have a particular condition in the lymph, connective tissue, skin and sometime into the muscles.  Because it is so systemic it is difficult for me to believe and all of the metal contamination is from having metal removed from the glands and simply restored in the areas mentioned.
aajonus

This would seem to be a simple proof that the chelation is causing metals to be dumped out through a mechanism that has a well-developed theory and a proven result.
Now, to understand and agree with your idea that chelation is harmful I would have to find that:
Even though metals are being removed from the body, SOME metals are re-arranged into places that show up on iridology tests.
I cannot see how, with the dumping of metal into the urine, there could be any indication that toxic metals have increased in the body because of chelation.

I might also have to believe that these toxic metals, "disturbed" by the chelation process might cause some metals to cross the "blood brain barrier" and leave the person worse off, with more metals than before now being found in the brain.  I studied this possibility separately and offer my findings here.  My findings have been that there is chance that these metals could cross the blood brain barrier, into the brain, because of chelation.

I can understand the logic of toxic metals stuck into tissues, for instance, that would seem to be causing no harm (I wouldn't agree with that of course -- because of the free radical multiplication) and that "unsticking" them with chelation might remove some and leave others free-floating -- possibly these are more harmful than those stuck into tissues?
I have also had customers who got before and after echocardiograms -- showing blockages (80% in some areas) and two years after starting my oral chelation the same echocardiogram showed zero blockage.
I, personally, never had the "before" test, but I had a sonogram several months ago and the results were zero blockage in any of the main arteries.
My wife had the same zero blockage.
We, of course, have been taking our own oral chelation formula for 16 years.
I have many, many testimonials of blood flow increases, surgeries avoided, dizziness gone, cold or numb feet or fingers, returned to warm, pain in the legs gone -- so many that this formula is no longer any question in my mind.
Since I respect and admire you and your opinions, and since I see now that you are basing your opinion on chelation on iridology, I would hypothesize that the iris may well be sensitive to metals AS THEY ARE LEAVING the body, and that the rings in the eyes (which I wouldn't recognize) are to be taken as the positive sign that the body is getting rid of metals and that this is good.
That explanation would be possible, or my earlier suggestion that metals STUCK into tissues may be dislodged by chelation, some leaving the body, but some becoming more dangerous floating?? But, it would seem, still, that more chelation would remove these too.
I would not deny that a RAF diet might well also remove metals.  That I wouldn't know about.
But, since there is no doubt in my mind that chelation removes metals, and that such removal is very beneficial, I'm left with the tentative conclusion that something about iridology allows the "leaving metals" to show up in the irs when, in fact, the amount of metal in the body is less than it had been.
Comments?  Further data about the prospective harm of chelation??
Regards,
Karl

I have seen the removal results of chelation in reference to removal of build-ups on arteries, however, I have also seen the ill consequences stated above.  The metal toxicity that results and the thinning of the tissues reflected in the skin in many cases is a poor exchange for health.  I would compare it to using one toxic compound to clean another toxic compound and still having to deal with the same amount of toxicity but more lethal because of the extra compounds that result from the combination of the compounds.

healthfully, aajonus

Dear Aajonus,

I would generally never disagree with someone's observations.  I might disagree with conclusions and opinions based on those observations, but not the basic observation.

I would enjoy having the same return acknowledgment.

My own observation of oral chelation has been such that I conclude that it is a very beneficial treatment.  I do not, furthermore, hold any doubt about the observations you have made about chelation.

I can and do respect your opinions and findings in many areas of diet and do not find it necessary to agree with you 100% of the time.

I assume that you can find, and have found, some value in some of my findings and opinions and I do not expect 100% agreement with me.

We can, in a friendly fashion, agree that we disagree -- even in an area of importance to each of us -- because we can both recognize that there are yet-larger and more important areas where we agree.

Aajonus:
Is there any other perspective?  However, in consciousness, I must tell you that I have found chelation therapy to be the most toxic alternative therapy.  It requires years to reverse and usurps many nutrients in the process.  The forms of IV and liquid I have found to be the worst.

Said, I remain a friend.

healthfully, aajonus

I look forward to continuing to assist you and other RAFers in any way I can.

Cordially,

Karl Loren

Dear Aajonus,

I've taken the temporary liberty of publishing our dialogue on chelation.

I would appreciate your permission to leave this page up.

I do not want to make this subject a matter of list talk since I never expect to disagree with you on the list, but when and as it might come up, I would like either of us to be able to point to the exchange as might be useful.

Let me know if you would prefer it not be published, or if there need be any changes.

Cordially
