Relationship Between Ron Strauss and Aajonus Vonderplanitz

In the book, We Want To Live, starting on page 128, there is a five-page introduction to the Second Section of the Book.  This 5-page section is written by someone named Ron Strauss.  Some people have inquired about what relationship might exist between Aajonus and Mr. Straus.  Some of these people have been concerned that Mr. Strauss may have had critical things to say about their religious affiliations.

If you want to talk on the phone to someone about this matter, you can call me, Karl Loren, at (800) 225-2308.

I have asked Aajonus about this and he has told me the following.  In other words, these are his words:

Aajonus Vonderplanitz does not work closely with Ron Strauss and knows little about Mr. Strauss' (RS) activities.

RS calls AV every few months for health- or food-related information for his religious group in Northern CA.  Aajonus has known of and been acquainted with RS since 1995.  RS has always been a conscientious, compassionate and loving individual toward Mr. Vonderplanitz (AV).

RS never mentioned anything to AV about RS being a past member of that religion until after a member of that church  client mentioned RS to AV (because of the Introduction in Vol.2 of AV's book).  RS told AV that he has never spoken or taken any action against that church.  He told me that a group approached him many years ago and he refused to join their legal action against that  church.

AV was asked about this again, recently.

AV called RS and RS reiterated that he did not and does not hold that church in bad standing.  He said that he cherished and continues to be thankful for his many years in that religion, and that it taught him so many important and wonderful things about life and action.  RS stated that he simply prefers different ways of communicating with and worshiping his God.

RS also said that he would call that church and try to resolve the issue.  AV gave RS a name in that church and number to work it out because that church member might be able to tell him with whom he should speak to resolve any issue(s).

AV has told many members of that church that AV is a nutritionist who helps people resolve their health-issues so that they may seek happiness and effectiveness in their worship, work and play. AV does not judge people because others condemn them.  As that church teaches, conflict between people is usually caused by a third party.  That church's  issue(s) with RS have nothing to do with AV.  AV is satisfied that RS has no ill-will intentions regarding that church or members of the church.

If someone will post the above maybe I will not have to continue to respond to it.

Thank you, Karl

lovingly, aajonus

Another report on this, based on an interview with Aajonus indicates:

1.      There is no kinship between Aajonus and Strauss.

2.      There is no business relationships between Aajonus and Strauss.

3.      Some time ago, Strauss took a one week course in nutrition from Aajonus.

4.      Strauss consults on health to a religious group by the name Adi Da .

5.      From time to time, Straus may call Aajonus for a nutritional advice in connection with himself and the Adi Da group.

6.      Aajonus never originates calls to Strauss.

7.      The only times Aajonus calls Strauss are when he returns Strauss’ calls. The calls deal only with the nutritional advice sought by Strauss.

8.      These calls are infrequent, once every few months.

9.      Strauss is an acquaintance of Aajonus. Aajonus says he’s so busy he has no time to develop friends.

10.  Aajonus has no intention to develop a relationship with Strauss, personal or business.

11.  Aajonus’ mission in life is to help any one that seeks his nutritional advice.
