I've Verified that this is their current address on April 6, 2005: Karl Loren
This company sent a speaker to a Club I belonged to. He spoke to us and described the value of the ultra sound (sometimes called "sonogram") test and the type of tests which his firm offered. My wife and I signed up for the full set of tests. There was one test for the arterial system -- to show us, and record, the degree of blockage in our blood system. The second test was to examine, using ultra sound, each of the organs, looking for enlargement or unusual surface texture.
Because we bought our service when offered to the Club, and others also bought, we got a discount. Because there were TWO of us, not one, we got a further discount. We wound up paying $800 for the total of four tests. That was some years ago. I would guess prices are now higher.
During the actual tests, for both of us, the medical technician (an actual doctor) performed the tests and explained them as he went along. In the case of me, Karl, and my wife, Jean, the description was the exact same. Neither of us showed any degree of blockage of our blood system, and neither of us showed any sign of cancer.
In my case, my prostate was "slightly enlarged" but he said it was well within the limits of normal based on my age. He spent plenty of time pointing out what the sonogram was "seeing." The sound pictures are captured on a videotape, and a screen. He could freeze the image on the screen, then enlarge it, if useful, and point to parts of the image and explain what they were. he was able to "measure" the exact size of any part of the image with a measuring scale built into the computer than handled the screen. So, when he said that some part of an "artery" was 5 millimeters wide, we could see the place where the measuring boundaries were. These measurements were also recorded on tape, so there would no later question about the results.
Later we got lengthy technical reports, signed by an MD, giving us the same type of data (and more) in written form. This company was willing to send the report to any doctor of OUR choice, but they did NOT require that we visit some doctor for any explanation of the test. In other words, we were clients of the testing company, not patients of some "gate keeper" doctor.
The package of service that we purchased gave us "free" repeat exams every year for a period of five years.
We had the second test done in Spring of 2002, and again each of us had zero blockage, and no sign of cancer.
The verbal report, during the actual testing, told us, both, that we had zero blockage. When the written report came, the result was shown in a category from 0% to 15% blockage. I called to inquire, and the doctor informed me that they do not ever, by policy, show a 0% blockage in writing, even if the technician announces that during the test.
Virtually every hospital has the type of equipment used for these tests. However, these machines are tightly under the control of medical doctors and generally there is no one in the hospital who is promoting direct to the public. Thus, if you call a hospital to ask about such a test you are most likely going to be referred to a doctor. He will want an office visit, an explanation of "why" you want the test, and if you ever mention "chelation therapy" he will frown and try to talk you out of it. In any event, if you persist, and get your sonagram test I bet a couple nickels that you will never get a "plain English" written report.
The technician doing the ultrasound may or may not tell you anything during the tests -- probably not. He may even lie and say that he doesn't know, only the doctor who ordered the test can tell you. So, that technician does the tests. The machine turns out a magnetic memory set of data which can easily be converted into a finished, printed report with no further manual input. But, the technician will tell you that it will take a week or so, and that the report will go to the doctor who ordered it -- not to you.
You will have another office visit to pay for.
The doctor may even show you the report, but he probably won't offer to give you a copy. If he does give you a copy you will find that it is NOT written in Plain English.
It will give a "calcium score" or some other words that will mean nothing to you, but do mean something to the doctor.
The doctor may say that a "calcium score" below 100 is excellent. As the score approaches 400 it gets "more dangerous." If the score is over 400 he may tell you that a more accurate test, the angiogram, is now needed.
The angiogram is NOT more accurate -- that is a lie. But, the angiogram is the ONLY test that will allow the doctor to then recommend bypass surgery. They cannot do bypass surgery on the basis of a sonogram, even if the sonogram shows 100% blockage everywhere.
Once you get into the doctor's clutches, if there is any chance of pushing you into a bypass, he will do it.
Am I cynical? You bet! The above is what I think you will find. I hope not, but I fear so!
So, knowing my expectations, you can call the hospital and ask about a sonogram test -- you will see the story developing as I have laid it out. If you begin to see that story developing I would hope you would accuse the doctor of malpractice, give him a print out of this page, and go elsewhere.
But, whatever you feel about telling him what you think, you would still, then, be left having to look elsewhere.
I've had customers look for a service like this, and have learned that there is a big difference between those tests done in hospitals, for doctors, and the type of service we got. So, if you look on the web you may not be able to detect this difference. Sonogram testing is promoted widely, often under different names, including "full body scan" and "image scan," etc. You MUST be sure they use SONOgram, which is a sound wave system, and very safe. Many places will seem to say you will get a sonogram, but if you listen carefully, they will use some different name, and will never tell you that the test is really done with X-Rays, or some radiation scheme.
I have tried many of my customers to find some service near where they live. This has not been easy, because, as I just said, the people who do these tests are in conspiracy with some doctor to work ONLY through the doctor. After all, the doctors ARE the most common source of referrals for their business.
I spent some time using Internet search engines, looking for more of this type of service. I didn't spend long at it, but the ones I found all seemed to be services controlled by and through some medical facility or doctor.
If you, the viewer here, find an honest source of ultrasound testing? I would sure like to know about it, and perhaps list them here, also.
I have no special arrangement with Ultra Life -- I just am angry that it is not easier to get these tests.
I encourage anyone who is considering using my oral chelation formula to FIRST get an ultrasound test, showing the percentages of blockages for various arteries.
Then, perhaps six months or a year later, get another ultrasound test. I am confident that any large blockages, 70% or more, will be very greatly reduced in one year or less.
