Fat Exchange Concept In The Aajonus Primal Diet

 

You often hear the word "detoxify" or "cleanse" as in "detoxifying the body of toxins."  I'd like to take that up with you here.

The questions to consider include:

 

What are the toxins we need be concerned with?

 


As a general answer, a "toxin" would be anything taken into the body which the body cannot use in a

 

As toxins are accumulated in your body they generally get stored in the fatty tissues of the body.  Thus, your fat contains an accumulation of many years' worth of toxins.  Apparently they do no harm in that location.

 
LSD, for instance, or any oil-soluable street drug, "locks up" in these fatty tissues.
 
Then, when you exercise a bit, or sweat, or just in general, some of those toxins "leak out" and you re-experience all the symptoms of whatever that toxin might be.
 
This is the explanation of "flashbacks" similar to "LSD Trips."  In other words, a person who has taken LSD is subject to having "flashbacks" for decades on into the future.
 
A very, very tiny amount of leakage of these toxins is just like a small amount of toxin in your blood stream on a constant basis -- this will make you less mentally aware and more subject to control.  Thus, the ultimate purpose of toxins in our food supply (all drugs and cooking generally) is to deaden your senses and make you more easily controlled by whoever it is that wants to control you.  (A long story for another day!)
 
So, as you continue to add more and more toxins to your fatty tissues, they can't hold it all, and some will continue to leak out, or just circulate in your blood stream, and cause this deadening of the senses to get quite dangerous indeed.
 
Now, you can go into a sauna, or exercise, and even do various "cleansing" and "detoxification" programs, and many of these will, indeed, remove toxins from the fatty tissues. But, they still have to be removed from the body.  There is a variation of success in these efforts.
 
ONE technique that may well prove to be highly effective involves what might called the "fat exchange method."
 
This method suggests that if you can ADD clean fat to your diet, then the body can let go of "toxin-laden" fat and that you are then able to remove toxins (in that fat) in large gobs at one time, as opposed to getting a small amount of toxins to leak out, and then be excreted through the urine, or however.  Get some large amount of clean fat into the body, let that fat absorb, now, its share of those toxins that are more concentrated in other fat, and then get rid of the bad fat.
 
Aajonus recommends a regular pattern of gaining and then losing weight, I have not yet quizzed him on this, but I suspect that this means that as you add weight (fat) you are letting some of the toxins "infect" that fat and reduce the "average toxic load" for all your body fat.  Then you start losing weight (fat) and you are removing the fat AND the toxins in that fat.
 
It would be a matter of calculous -- how many times, up and down, would you have to gain wegith, lose weight, before you would reduce the toxin load in your fat by 50%.
 
Of course, per the concepts of calculus, you would never achieve 100% detox this way, but you would approach 100% and that is probably as good as it will get.
 
So, with this concept in mind, taking non-raw butter into your body, with its load of oxidized fat, free radicals, you be continuing to add to the toxin problem, not reducing it.
 
If you can convince yourself to use some cold-pressed oil it might work as well as raw butter, be cheaper, and actually be available.
 
We cannot design a diet where only a tiny handful of people can follow it because the vast majority are deprived from sources of raw butter.
 
So, I will be experimenting with several flavors of cold-blended oil soon, and be posting all that information on my web site, and in my daily diairy.
 
Now, Aajonus suggests a diet of 85% fat, 10% protein and 5% carbohydrates.  I can understand this diet -- far different from our caveman ancestors -- as a detox diet and agree with it from that perspective.
 
I'll be sending him this write-up and look forward to his comments.
 
In the meantime, see if you can reduce some of your pains by increasing raw fat in your diet.
