Complementary Healthcare Practitioner for 40 Years
It is now forty years since I graduated in healthcare and commenced a lifelong career in complementary medicine. During this time I have seen many changes in attitudes and approaches to healthcare. When I first graduated, antibiotics, tranquillisers, sleeping tablets and many more pharmaceutical drugs were exploding onto the scene and rapidly became very much the 'in' thing. Fortunately, over the years, the general attitude to healthcare has changed and people all over the world are now looking for a much more natural approach Society has changed and with the varying negative influences on our health nowadays, people are seeking more natural forms of treatment and protection from disease. They are also demanding more natural methods preventing illness, which is infinitely better than cure. Complementary healthcare has become a fact and, as it continues to make progress and become increasingly popular, our clinics are becoming bigger, incorporating ever more multi-disciplinary treatments in response to our patients' needs. My philosophy on health, developed over many years, has indeed become a pressing need in today's society. As a result, I am training an increasing number of doctors, healthcare practitioners and specialists in the importance and use of natural ways of treatment, incorporating many multi-disciplinary methods. Our Jan de Vries Healthcare Centres have become unique in offering these therapies and remedies to the best advantage of every individual's needs. These centres offer a complete range of health promoting programmes, designed to recharge both body and mind.
